DAY 152: NYE.
I’m just happy 2009 will be over in less than 4 hours! It’s not the same with the hubby not here :(. I’m still debating if I want to go out with everyone and right now its 2021. DAY 151: HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY MATEO!
I’m just happy I get to see my nephew on his special day. I really hope he doesn’t forget his Ninang/Tita he always makes me smile every time I got to spend one on one with him. Well, its time to get back to reality—heading back to SD today. It’s been fun Chicago see you in April along with the HUBBY!

DAY 150: Last Night In Chicago.

I just put Mateo down for his 2nd nap. DAY 149: Bears Win OT!
I miss watching the Bears game every sundays with my mom and friends here in Chicago. Even though that their record sucks this year I’m just happy I got to watch it here at home with my sister, and friends. I have one more night here in Chitown.

Mateo’s 1st birthday was a success at the Nature Museum! Thanks Steph for letting us use your camera and helping set up this morning! Can’t wait to share a few pictures from his birthday!
DAY 147: Bonding with the nephew.
Sister is at work and I have babysitting duties! Here is my adorable nephew just waking up from his nap and I decided to go inside his play pen! Haha! I’m excited for his birthday party tomorrow! I stuffed 41 goodie bags and 1 Pinata for the little one. Its been a relaxing/lazy day for me since I arrived and I’m lovin it! :) Back to watching the little one.

DAY 146: Congratulations to my sister Melin &...
Even though we didn’t get to open presents at midnight like we always do. My sister found a clear plastic ball that you get from the gumball machine and she found an engagement ring! I’m happy for the both of them and I wish them the best!

DAY 145: Chicago bound on Eve.
Good Early Morning at 0110. I’m just taking a quick break from packing. I think I packed for 2 weeks but majority of it are unwrapped presents! DAY 141: Crunch Time!
I believe I have everyone’s Christmas present that I want to give this year but I’ve been debating if I should wrap them up since I will be taking them with me to Chicago. Let’s hope *knock on wood* that no one goes through my bag and steals them. I would be so upset!

DAY 140: MK Christmas Dinner.
K and I hosted our first Christmas dinner with our friends Phillips, America, Jamil, Michelle and Hilarion :]. It was a success but we both failed taking pictures of the food we made!! The appetizers: Kalamata olive brushetta and shrimp and mango lettuce wraps. Main course: Beef Bakchoy noodles. Dessert: Pumpkin Cheese cake! We had a great time putting this together and we already have ideas...

After work decided to have a light [late] dinner with K. Soo yum and we are both excited to host a holiday dinner at the house with a few friends later on this week! Our 4 course meal is on the works and the FABULOUS presentation will be FESTIVE!!! Ahhh we are so excited to host our little holiday dinner before we go home to Chicago!

DAY 134: Happy!
I wake up this morning and I missed an email from one of the hubby’s chief?!! Actually, he let the hubby use his email since Chiefs and people who are at higher rank are allowed to send/receive emails. It was a very short quick email letting me know not to worry and that he is ok! =). Now I can start my day and not worry!

Just got home from having dinner with the Ramirez’s house with K and J. After working an 8hr day, eating shrimp ceviche, shrimp sinigang, and rocky road icecream with a “hybrid” brownie cookie I started to feel the effect of food coma/tiredness. I’m movin on up in the retail business :) surely was not expecting that after working there for 6 months. I’m happy with the way things are going so far! Good things happen for those who wait!

So I had a very interesting rainy morning. I always give myself at least 30 minutes to leave my house to go to work even though I’m only 7 minutes away. DAY 122: Tuesday Meal
Stir-Fried Chicken & Vegetable Noodles turned out to be Stir-Fried Pad Thai remix with the help of K. Instead of using the yellow egg noodles we used Thai noodles, added artichoke, cilantro, mangetout aka snow peas, sweet corn. Wine: “Pinoy Renoir” ha you just had to be there :).
For dessert Cinnamon Rolls—can’t go wrong with this! Good job K!
